Founded in the spring of 1983, our 127 acre estate is entirely owned and managed by Ursula and Charles Massoud, and our three sons. Born and raised in the "Old World", wine has always been a part of our lives and we continue the tradition at Paumanok Vineyards.
Only premium vinifera grapevines are planted, consisting of Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The traditional dense planting of the vineyards at 1100 to 1400 vines per acre produces more concentrated fruit and therefore higher quality wines. For our wines, only estate grown grapes are used and production is limited to fewer than 12,000 cases.

Fermented in stainless steel tanks, this Riesling bursts with a fresh, fruit cocktail of peach, apricot, nectarine and apples. While it starts off sweet, it finishes dry with crisp acidity.

This Sauvignon Blanc is fresh and vibrant with aromas of lemon, followed by more subtle mineral and herbaceous notes. Medium-bodied with citrus flavors, crisp acidity and a pleasant, dry finish.

This Riesling offers aromas of lime, green apple, lilies, lilac and other white flowers. Dry with flavors of lime, green apple, white apricot, it finishes with intense acidity.

Dry Riesling

After completing its fermentation in French oak barrels, this Chardonnay ages sur lie in the same barrel for 7 months, with occasional stirring of the lees to add a subtle, yeasty character to the wine. It offers attractive aromas of apple, yeast and butterscotch. It is medium-bodied with rich melon and apple flavors and a crisp, balanced finish.

Barrel Fermented Chardonnay

Chardonnay

Fermented entirely in stainless steel tanks. It is light, dry, crisp and clean with refreshing aromas and flavors of apple, lemon, pineapple and stones.

Festival Chardonnay

Offers attractive aromas of black cherry, plum, prune, rich earth, spice, and floral notes. It is medium to full-bodied with soft but firm tannins.

Merlot

Petit Verdot

Aromas of bramble fruit, herbs, flowers and spice. Medium-bodied with firm tannins, black fruit and cherry flavors. 

Cabernet Franc

Aromas of bramble cedar, herbs, and black currants. Medium-bodied, firm tannins, black fruit and cherry flavors.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Made from a single Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard on Tuthills Lane. Rich, plush and dense with velvety tannins, it has a long finish, bright black fruit flavors, is full-bodied and while attractive at bottling should develop well over time.

Tuthills Lane Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Opulent, with spicy, concentrated black fruit flavors and inky black in color, this full bodied wine possesses ample tannins that suggest it will cellar well for many years.

Apollo Drive Vineyard Petit Verdot

The Paumanok 2021 Chenin underwent a slow, cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The result is a fresh, crisp, racy, and bracing Chenin that is redolent of grapefruit and pineapple, with more subtle notes of melon, apple and guava. 

Chenin Blanc

Paumanok's "Grand Vintage" designation is reserved for the most exceptional vintages. It is a declaration of quality. The Grand Vintage wines are meant for cellaring. They are more concentrated and structured than the standard estate bottled labels.
